An RV Adventure – Family Fun and Tips!

A mother, a father, 2 small children and one on the way. Oh yeah, and a 1-year RV adventure. Sarah and family embarked on the adventure of a lifetime and has left some really helpful details and tips to help out all of us who’d like to try to go on one of these ourselves. In the following post, we will discuss some of these tips.

1) Barbecue – use firewood instead of charcoal. While it takes longer to light, it stays lit longer and has less of a smell to it.

2) Bugs – Bugs are annoying (hence the word bug) but some people don’t care too much. If you’re travelling in rural Canada and an RV adventure it’s very important to bring both bug spray and bug jackets to keep away the more persistent and potentially harmful insects.

3) Kids – Keeping kids entertained is important and much harder to do on a road trip. With today’s reliance on the technology, you’ll need to find some new and creative ways to keep your kids from falling asleep too much or worse – staying awake too much.

4) Power – Even though most RV’s have enough power to last you a long trip, it’s always important to bring a backup generator that is rechargeable.

5) RV App – there are apps out there that can really save you in a bind by helping you find awesome campsites, parking etc. What do you think of these tips? Are you excited for your next RV Adventure?
