Starting off with El Matador State Beach, housed within Malibu it is often regarded as one of the most romantic spots in California much less the most romantic spot in the whole LA vicinity.The secluded stretch offers rolling clear water waves and a photogenic rocky shore line that would prove the jagged journey there worth while. For those surfers that crave that extra rolling wave, there is no better place than Malibu Surfrider beach. Whether you’re a newbie or professional, you’d come to appreciate how perfect the waves here really are.

The beach is also home to the Malibu Pier which houses many amazing restaurants and stores–most notably the Malibu Pier Farm Restaurant & Cafe. Santa Monica State Beach proves to be one of the most iconic beaches on the beach, with the killer views from ferris wheel and a refreshing evening stroll along the 2 mile stretch, there is no better beach to spend a great part of your day going into the evening than this one.

The nearby Point Dume offers a beautiful hiking spot as well. Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Ray is more of a resort than a simple beach. It’s a perfect spot for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and just relaxing after a long day (or night), it is worth spending more than one day on this expansive beach. Finally, Redondo Beach tops this list off as a popular spot that lines the entire waterfront of the town of Redondo.
