What do you think of when you think of Scotland? Kilts? A country that has an accent similar yet different to that of England? Well, you’re not wrong for thinking any of those as Scotland is a UK based country that is known for its kilts. Of course, that is not all Scotland is known for. Scotland is a beautiful country filled with greenery, old architecture and a rich history. So what is there to do in Scotland exactly? This list is brought to you by Wanderlust.com.
- Take to the water. It’s stunning. You’ll never believe your eyes. We’re talking of course about the Outer Hebrides where there are around 200 deserted islands that you can travel. Of course, we recommend you travel by kayak. This is, after all, one of the worlds best kayaking spots. You can also take a boat trip to Eigg. Eigg is a volcanic island and it is absolutely stunning.
- Enjoy a perfectly formed city break. Most people don’t plan breaks, but sometimes when you’re in such busy cities it’s important to take a good break. Therefore planning a break is important. Edinborough or Glasgow are great cities to just roam and enjoy. Plan ahead for the street or cafes or pubs you’d like to see the most.
- Go monster-spotting on Loch Ness. Of course, we can’t mention Scotland without mentioning Loch Ness. Infamous for its fables of a monster, this Loch is a must sea (pun intended).
